The arrival in Oslo of Haakon VII (Prince Carl of Denmark and Iceland, born Christian Frederik Carl Georg Valdemar Axel - 18721957), the first king of Norway after the 1905 dissolution of the personal union with Sweden. The new Royal Family of Norway arrived at Kristiania (Oslo) in the Norwegian Naval ship Heimdal early on the morning of 25 November 1905. Two days later, Haakon took the oath as the Norwegian King.
