Sloggett's tenure as Director General of the Army Medical School was marked by significant advancements in military medical education and research. During his leadership, the school expanded its curriculum to include bacteriology, pathology, and pharmacology, ensuring that army medical officers were equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to care for soldiers on the battlefield. Sloggett also oversaw the establishment of the Army Medical Research Committee, which led to numerous discoveries in the fields of tropical diseases, vaccines, and surgical techniques.
