This print showcases a Brussels allegorical tapestry depicting the enchanting month of December. Created by Bernaert van Orley and his circle around 1525, this magnificent artwork measures an impressive 366x422 cm and is currently held in a private collection. Woven with meticulous detail using wool and silk, the tapestry portrays various scenes that symbolize the essence of December. In the center, we witness a butcher and his helper engaged in the blood-letting of a boar, accompanied by a woman.
