The Broad-tailed Gecko, also known as the Broad-tailed Skink or the Broad-tailed Lizard, is a species of lizard native to Australia and New Guinea. As suggested by its name, this gecko is characterized by a broad, flat tail, which it can use as a defensive weapon by shedding its tail when threatened.
