The Holy Carpet, a significant relic in Islamic history, is being carried from Cairo to Mecca for blessing at the Kaaba, the holiest site in Islam. The Kaaba, an ancient cube-shaped building at the center of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, is the most revered site in Islam and the focus of the Islamic pilgrimage, known as the Hajj. The Holy Carpet, a beautiful and intricately woven piece of textile, is used to cover the Kaaba during the Hajj season.
