Teams representing each of the 14 cub packs in the Holme Valley took park, with the 6th Honley Atlas pack emerging as overall winners. Runners-up were the 12th Hinchliffe Mill, while the 1st Holmfirth (Tuesday) pack and the 6th Honley Thor reached the semi-finals. Mr Richard Green helped Mr Mallinson to referee the games. The trophy and engraved medals were presented by Mrs Kath Minney, wife of the district commissioner. The competition was organised by Mr Chadwick, who is assistant district commissioner for Holme Valley Cubs. The 150 spectators were also kept entertained with a variety of stalls. 14th November 1987
