This photograph captures the distinguished image of Field Marshal Radomir Putnik, a pivotal figure in Serbian military history. Born in 1847, Putnik rose through the ranks to become the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Army, serving with great distinction in the Balkan Wars from 1876 onwards, and later leading the Serbian forces during the First World War.
