Among the distinguished guests are Prince and Princess Arthur of Connaught, who are warmly welcomed by Lord and Lady Montagu of Beaulieu. The Montagus were well-known figures in British society, and their daughter, Lady Mary Agar, is also present. They were popular members of the British royal family and were known for their patronage of the arts and their support of various charitable causes. Lord Sinclair, who is also seen in the photograph, was a Scottish peer and a prominent figure in British politics. He served as the Postmaster General in the National Government from 1931 to 1935. The Royal Yacht Squadron, founded in 1815, is one of the most prestigious yacht clubs in the world.
