The adorable pup, known as C013 / 6154, belongs to the species Arctocephalus pusillus pusillus and can be found in coastal regions around southern and south-western Africa. These seals form large colonies and are an integral part of the diverse fauna that inhabits this area. At birth, this little pup weighs between 4.5 and 7 kilograms and measures about 60 to 70 centimeters long. It relies solely on its mother's milk for nourishment during the first six months of life before it learns to swim and catch its own food.
