Inuit Seal Hunting (2/5)
An Inuit seal hunter. He has cut a hole in the pack ice and dropped a baited line through the hole. He has placed a small square of fur on the ground to form a warm seat whilst he waits for a passing seal to take the bait.

Grey seal (Halichoerus grypus) in shallow water. The grey seal gives birth to a single pup after a gestation of just under a year. A pup is nursed for up to two months before becoming independent. The grey seal lives in large groups in coastal waters in the North Atlantic Ocean. It feeds almost exclusively on fish. Photographed in November, in Lincolnshire, UK.
