Baurzhan Momyshuly (Momish-Uly) (1910-1982) - a Kazakh-Soviet military officer and author. As an author he wrote several books - military prose, stories and novels for adults and children. He was posthumously awarded the titles of Hero of the Soviet Union and Peoples Hero of Kazakhstan. He fought in the Second World War, and took part in the Battle of Moscow.
