By 1953, the Canberra had already proven its worth in various roles, including maritime patrol, reconnaissance, and even as a passenger transport. The PR.3 variant, specifically designed for photo-reconnaissance missions, was a significant improvement over its predecessors. Equipped with advanced cameras and sophisticated imaging systems, the PR.3 was able to capture high-resolution images from high altitudes.
