This handcoloured steel engraving depicts a pivotal moment in English history as actors bring to life the legendary Battle of Bosworth Field. Henry Tudor, played by an actor in a gold-trimmed, blue cloak and a cloth-of-gold coat of arms adorned with the white rose of York, engages King Richard III, dressed in a red cloak and a dragon emblem, on horseback.
