W.G. Grace batting at Gravesend, 1913

Photograph of Dr. William Gilbert Grace (1848-1915) batting in the Gravesend vs. Eltham cricket match, held at Gravesend cricket ground, 1913. Grace was arguably the finest cricketer of his era, scoring 126 first-class centuries and taking 2876 wickets, playing for England and Gloucestershire. He retired from international cricket in 1899, aged 51
