Cassini spacecraft
Cassini spacecraft. Computer artwork of the Cassini spacecraft in orbit around Saturn. Titan, Saturns largest moon, is at lower right, and Earth is seen in the distance at upper left. Cassini was launched in October 1997 and will reach Saturn in July 2004. It will orbit Saturn for four years, studying the planet, its rings and its moons. Cassini is carrying the disc-shaped Huygens probe (orange) on its underside. In December 2004, the probe will separate from the orbiter and enter Titans atmosphere. The Huygens probe is expected to transmit data from Titans surface for up to 30 minutes
