The scene unfolds on the shores of the Crimea in 1854, during a pivotal moment in the conflict between the British Empire and the Russian Empire. Commander Bythsea, a brave and resourceful naval officer, had been tasked with intercepting important Russian messages that could potentially give away military secrets or reveal strategic plans.
