Heart conduction system, artwork

Heart conduction system. Artwork showing the impulse conduction system (red) of the human heart. The sinoatrial (SA) node consists of self-excitatory muscle cells that contract rhythmically at around 70 beats per minute. Following each contraction, an impulse spreads through the hearts upper chambers (atria, upper frame) to the atrioventricular (AV) node. Contraction of the atria causes blood to move into the lower chambers (ventricles, lower frame). The AV node transmits the impulse to the ventricles, via the bundle of His. The ventricles contract, sending blood to the lungs and to the rest of the body

Bring the intricacies of the human body into your home or office with Media Storehouse's exquisite range of Photographic Prints. This particular artwork captivates the heart conduction system, an essential process that initiates each heartbeat. Witness the intricate impulse conduction system (depicted in red) of the human heart, with the sinoatrial node at the center, rhythmically contracting to start each new heartbeat. This stunning Heart Conduction System print, sourced from Science Photo Library, is a mesmerizing blend of art and science, perfect for inspiring curiosity and igniting conversation.

Photo prints are produced on Kodak professional photo paper resulting in timeless and breath-taking prints which are also ideal for framing. The colors produced are rich and vivid, with accurate blacks and pristine whites, resulting in prints that are truly timeless and magnificent. Whether you're looking to display your prints in your home, office, or gallery, our range of photographic prints are sure to impress. Dimensions refers to the size of the paper in inches.

Our Photo Prints are in a large range of sizes and are printed on Archival Quality Paper for excellent colour reproduction and longevity. They are ideal for framing (our Framed Prints use these) at a reasonable cost. Alternatives include cheaper Poster Prints and higher quality Fine Art Paper, the choice of which is largely dependant on your budget.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This artwork from Science Photo Library showcases the intricate and vital heart conduction system. The vibrant red lines beautifully illustrate the pathway of electrical impulses within the human heart. At its core, this masterpiece highlights the remarkable functionality of our cardiovascular system. The focal point of this artwork is the sinoatrial (SA) node, depicted as a cluster of self-exciting muscle cells that contract rhythmically at approximately 70 beats per minute. From here, each contraction triggers an impulse that travels through the upper chambers of the heart known as atria, elegantly displayed in the upper frame. As these impulses propagate further, they reach their next destination: the atrioventricular (AV) node. This crucial relay station allows for synchronized contractions between atria and ventricles. Consequently, blood flows seamlessly into the lower chambers or ventricles showcased in the lower frame. To ensure efficient communication between all parts of our hearts, we witness how these impulses are transmitted to ventricles via a specialized bundle called Bundle of His. Once received by ventricles, they contract forcefully propelling blood towards both lungs and throughout our entire body. This awe-inspiring illustration not only captures anatomical accuracy but also emphasizes normal physiology and healthy circulation within us all. It serves as a reminder of how intricately interconnected our biological systems truly are while showcasing art's ability to merge science with beauty seamlessly.
