Dating back to the 13th century, Arras was once a thriving center of culture and history, renowned for its stunning architecture, including the magnificent St. Vaast Abbey and the city hall. In this photograph, taken in 1915, the once-majestic structures lie in ruins, a poignant reminder of the brutal realities of war.
