This handcoloured copperplate engraving depicts a religious procession taking place within the ruins of the Church at Jumieges Abbey in Normandy, France, during the 1800s. Knights from the Spanish Order of Alcantara and the Portuguese Military Order of Christ, both established during the Crusades, participate in the procession.
