Its corner entrance, viewed from the north-west, reveals a stunning display of green tiling and a plaque adorned with raised lettering that proudly displays its original name. Originally known as the Grosvenor Picture Palace, this building opened its doors in 1915 as a cinema. Over time, it underwent various transitions - from showing films to hosting bingo games during the 1960s before becoming solely dedicated to snooker.
