1886 Savage Steam Powered Fun Fair Carousel. A 38ft hree abreast 12 section steam gallopers powered by Savage No. 664 Lady Golightly steam Engine. This Galloper Carousel Ride was Built for the Studt family of South Wales in 1886 by The famous Savage Brothers of Kings Lynn, Norfolk, England. 1886 Studt Family, South Wales 1912 following the death of John Studt it was sold to the Whittles of Camberley. 1948 Sold to Alf Whitelegg.Sold to Peter Lay and toured for a while before being taken over by the National Westminster Bank. 1996 Jimmy Noyce started to restore the ride after being lost for many years. 2005 Bought by the Howard Brothers and fully restored a year later, when a contemporary Limonaire Freres 54-key organ was installed.
