The Mount Pleasant Hotel at the corner of King's Cross Road and Calthorpe Street, Central London. The building was originally erected in 1894 as one of London's six Rowton Houses - large, purpose built, low cost hostels or doss houses for working men. They were established by Lord Rowton (Montagu William Lowry Corry, 1838-1903)

Imperial State Crown, symbolises the sovereignty of the monarch, there have been several versions since the 15th century, similar to that of St Edward's Crown, but shorter and encrusted with jewels, precious gems, diamonds, pearls, sapphires, emeralds and rubies. State Crown of Queen Mary Consort of King George V of England. Imperial Crown of India, was the crown of three British sovereigns as Emperors of India during the final decades of the Indian Empire. Cap badge, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers

Brass cap badge (the King's Crown Shield) of REME, the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. Oval in shape, with a crown at the top, a pair of compasses at the centre, and a laurel wreath design around the outer edge. The REME Corps was formed in 1942, and this style of cap badge was in use between 1942 and 1947. It has a slide fitting on the back. Date: 1940s
