This breathtaking image showcases the once magnificent statue of Zeus, the king of the gods in Greek mythology, as it stood proudly in the Temple of Zeus at Olympia, Greece. Carved by the renowned Greek sculptor Phidias around 435 BC, the colossal statue was a true marvel of the ancient world, measuring approximately 12 meters high and intricately crafted from ivory and gold-plated bronze. The statue depicted Zeus in his throne, holding a scepter in one hand and a small statue of Nike, the goddess of victory, in the other.
