A Thought-Form of Anger, c1916

EDITORS COMMENTS
is a captivating print that captures the essence of intense emotion and spiritual exploration. The image, directed against a person who had inflicted deep injury on its creator, emanates with vibrant red hues against a striking black background. This thought form, intentionally created by Oliver Joseph Lodge in 1917, showcases his profound involvement in psychical research and Spiritualism. Lodge's pioneering studies in telepathy during the late 19th century laid the foundation for this interdimensional energy form. The structured shape and powerful color palette convey both the destructive force of anger and the abstract concept of karma seeking revenge. It serves as a visual representation of fury and harm caused by an injured soul seeking reprisal. The photograph's composition exudes an otherworldly aura, emphasizing its connection to spirituality and metaphysical realms. Lodge's expertise as a British physicist adds another layer to this intriguing artwork, bridging science and mysticism. Displayed within Bibbys Annual 1917 publication from J. Bibby & Sons in Liverpool, this print exemplifies how art can transcend time through literature. Its presence evokes curiosity about early 20th-century beliefs surrounding energy manipulation and psychic phenomena. This image invites viewers to contemplate the power of emotions such as anger while exploring deeper philosophical questions about spirituality and human nature.
