This iconic photograph captures the exhilarating moment of Rangers Football Club's historic EUFA Cup semi-final victory over Sporting Lisbon in 1997. In this image, Rangers manager Walter Smith, with a determined look in his eyes, watches on as his team celebrates their hard-fought 2-0 win. The atmosphere in Ibrox Stadium that night was electric, as the Scottish giants took a significant step towards European glory. The EUFA Cup, now known as the Europa League, had long been a coveted prize for Rangers, who had reached the semi-finals on several occasions but had never managed to make it to the final.
