Community Spirit Shines Through in Marsden Clinic Support

EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this heartwarming photo print, the true essence of community spirit is beautifully captured. Members of the Marsden In Need group and Marsden Enhancement Committee gather together, proudly showcasing the equipment they have purchased for the local Marsden Clinic. The 1,200 Ames mini-lab, a vital tool for testing cholesterol levels, stands as a testament to their dedication and hard work. The purchase of this life-saving equipment was made possible through an array of fundraising activities that engaged every corner of the tight-knit Marsden community. From young to old, everyone played a part in raising funds for this important cause. The photograph features esteemed individuals who have contributed significantly to this endeavor. Dr Jennifer Taylor, a respected practitioner at the clinic; Mr Trevor Britton and Mr Albert Butterworth from both groups; Mrs Evelyn Lambert representing her fellow members; Clr Dorothy Lindley accompanied by her grandchildren Victoria and Laura Talbot; Jemma Lambert adding youthful enthusiasm; and Mrs Jean Halstead, a dedicated nurse at the clinic. This united effort has not stopped here though. The Marsden Enhancement Group is now focused on raising 4,000 pounds to acquire a defibrillator – another crucial piece of life-saving heart equipment. This snapshot from October 16th, 1990 serves as an enduring reminder that when communities come together with compassion and determination, incredible things can be achieved. It exemplifies how small gestures can make significant impacts on healthcare facilities while fostering unity among neighbors in times of need.
