Sir William Garth Morrison, a distinguished figure in the world of Scouting, is depicted in this photograph taken in 1996. Morrison, who was born on March 2, 1926, in Scotland, became the Chief Scout of The Scout Association in the United Kingdom in 1994, a role he held until 1997. Morrison's dedication to Scouting began at an early age. He joined the Scout movement as a boy and went on to become an Assistant Scoutmaster before serving in the Royal Navy during World War II. After the war, he resumed his involvement with Scouting, eventually becoming a Scoutmaster and then a District Commissioner. In the photograph, Morrison is seen wearing his full Scout uniform, complete with the red and gold stripes of his Chief Scout's crown. He is standing in front of a backdrop of trees, with a serene expression on his face.
