EDITORS COMMENTS
In this elegant and historic photograph, Princesses Daisy and Patricia of Connaught, sisters and daughters of the late Duke and Duchess of Connaught, are seen in their regal attire, adorned with crowns and robes, circa 1895. Princess Margaret Daisy of Connaught, on the left, was born on March 14, 1882, and later became Crown Princess of Sweden when she married Prince Carl of Sweden in 1905. Her sister, Princess Patricia, also known as Patricia, Lady Patricia Ramsey, was born on May 17, 1886. The two sisters were raised in the British royal court and were known for their beauty, grace, and intelligence. Princess Daisy was particularly noted for her musical talents and was an accomplished pianist. Princess Patricia, on the other hand, was an excellent horsewoman and was known for her love of hunting and the outdoors. This photograph captures the sisters in their youth, before they embarked on their respective marriages and roles in their respective countries. The image is a testament to their royal lineage and the historical significance of the Connaught family. The sisters' elegant attire and regal bearing are a reminder of a bygone era of monarchy and grandeur. The photograph is from the Mary Evans Picture Library and is a valuable addition to any collection of historical images of the British and Swedish royal families. It is a reminder of the rich history and traditions that continue to shape the monarchies of Europe today. Princess Daisy passed away on March 26, 1920, at the age of 38, while Princess Patricia lived until July 20, 1974, at the age of 88. This photograph is a poignant reminder of their lives and legacies.
