The International Exhibition of Marine and Maritime Hygiene - Italian Colonial Show (Esposizione Internazionale d Igiene Marinara e Mostra Coloniale) was held in Genoa in 1914, at the then huge esplanade opposite the Brignole railway station. The inauguration took place on 23rd May 1914 in the presence of King Vittorio Emanuele III and Queen Elena of Montenegro. Curated by architect Gino Coppede who was appointed to chief architect, designing the master plan and the majority of the halls, including the Main Entrance (pictured here). Date: 1914
