This photograph, taken in 1880, showcases Queen Victoria and some of her beloved royal family members. Seated in the center is Queen Victoria herself, dressed in her regal attire, with an air of authority and grace. To her left, Prince George, Duke of Cambridge, the third son of King George III and father of Queen Mary, is depicted with a stern expression. Next to him is Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh, the second son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, who would later marry Princess Alexandra of Denmark and become King Edward VII. Edward and Alexandra, the Prince and Princess of Wales, are captured in a tender moment, looking lovingly at each other. To the Queen's right is their eldest daughter, Princess Victoria, later known as Empress Frederick of Germany, who married Kaiser Wilhelm II. Standing behind her is her husband, Prince Frederick III of Prussia. In the back row, we find Prince Albert, the consort of Queen Victoria, who tragically passed away in 1861. And lastly, Princess Alice, the fifth daughter of Queen Victoria, is seen with a sweet smile on her face. This photograph offers a glimpse into the intimate moments of the Royal Family during a time of great change and transformation in British history.
