Advertisement for the opening of the latest branch of J. Lyons & Co, in Oxford Street, London, opposite Bond Street tube station. Devoted to the sale of Confiserie and Patisserie, the cafe offered dainty confections prepared by the most accomplished and highly trained chefs. The restaurant section was open daily until 11 pm and full licensed and capable of accommodating 1000 people. To mark the opening of their latest establishment the Director were devoting half the total receipts on the opening day to the Star and Garter Fund to furnish and equip a home for permanently disabled sailors and soldiers, to occupy the famous site on Richmond Hill.
