Behind is that years Mayor, Mr Tim Milford, The Duchess, seen signing the visitors book, unveiled a commemorative plaque. The Duchess had a cup of tea, a pate de fois gras sandwich and a cake made by students - there were hundreds of fancy sandwiches, some with inlaid designs in brown and white bread. After tea the Duchess enjoyed a cigarette, then chatted to several of the guests who were escorted to her table
