The voyage began in Kronstadt, the main imperial Russian naval base near Saint Petersburg, and traveled around Cape Horn to the Pacific Ocean. This lithograph was created by renowned naturalists Friedrich Heinrich Kittlitz and Louis-Pierre-Alphonse Bichebois, who were part of the Seniavin expedition.
