George was one of the Mirrors best known photographers and had a wide range of talents He was best known for his World War two Blitz pictures especialy his picture of London burning from the top of St Pauls cathedral. He was an al lround photographer that was at home with News, Sport, Royals as well as fashion with quality being his watchword. Always at the forefront of technological change as this picture taken in the 40s shows - when others settled for the tripod then george (left) held his camera in his hand.
