For Charles is an assistant at the unique roof garden on Derry and Toms in Kensington High Street, London. Strong cross winds can sometimes be a problem with a job like this, but the sheer drop seven floors down does not worry Charles at all. The gardens, 1 3/4acres in extent, are very popular with tourists and residents, as well as shoppers. Before he retired, a local vicar visited there every day for thirteen years to write his sermons. 12th September 1965. © Mirrorpix
