The image, taken at St. Peter Port, Guernsey, showcases the vibrant reception awaiting the senior royal. The landing site and quay are adorned with a grand display of flags, including the Royal Standard, signifying the royal visit. A guard of honor, comprised of fifty men from the Royal Artillery and two companies of the 1st Regiment of Royal Guernsey Militia, are stationed near the landing stage.
