The crack RAF acrobatic team, the Red Arrows, have become energy concious

The crack RAF acrobatic team, the Red Arrows, have become energy concious. Today, the 1000 workers at the British Aerospace service airfield at Bitteswell, Leicestershire, proudly watched as the team took delivery of nine Hawk aircraft which they had prepared. They already have 10 of the aircraft. The Hawks use 40% less fuel than the ageing Gnats with which the team have become identified. The Hawks are advanced jet trainers and cost about 2.5 million pounds each. British Aerospace have already supplied the Hawks to air forces in Finland, Indonesia and an undisclosed African country. The RAf have ordered 175. British Aerospaces military advisor on aircraft, Sir Dennis Smallwood, said that every time the Red Arrows flew the Hawk at big displays, they would attract interest in the plane from abroad.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photo print, the renowned RAF acrobatic team, the Red Arrows, can be seen embracing their commitment to energy conservation. The image captures a significant moment at the British Aerospace service airfield in Bitteswell, Leicestershire. Proudly observed by over 1000 workers, the Red Arrows take delivery of nine Hawk aircraft meticulously prepared by their own skilled team. The transition from their iconic Gnats to these advanced jet trainers marks a remarkable step towards sustainability as Hawks consume an impressive 40% less fuel. Each Hawk comes with a price tag of approximately £2.5 million and has already been supplied to air forces in Finland, Indonesia, and an undisclosed African country. Notably, the RAF has placed an order for 175 of these cutting-edge aircraft. Sir Dennis Smallwood, British Aerospace's esteemed military advisor on aircraft matters, expressed his confidence that every time the Red Arrows showcase their breathtaking maneuvers using Hawks at major displays worldwide; they will undoubtedly generate substantial interest in this exceptional plane from foreign nations. This photograph encapsulates not only a historic moment for both aviation enthusiasts and environmentalists but also serves as a testament to the dedication exhibited by both the Red Arrows and British Aerospace towards creating a more sustainable future for aerial performances around the globe.
