The year is circa 1387, and this scene is reminiscent of the tales penned by Geoffrey Chaucer in his seminal work, "The Canterbury Tales." Chaucer's published collection of stories, featuring a diverse group of pilgrims, is considered a literary masterpiece and a cornerstone of English literature.
