This formal photograph captures the pride and accomplishment of sixteen dedicated nurses from Llandough Hospital in Wales at their annual prize giving ceremony in 1936. The nurses, dressed in their crisp uniforms and adorned with flowers, stand proudly with their awards in hand, beaming with joy and satisfaction. Amongst them is the Matron of the hospital, who oversees the nursing staff and ensures the highest standards of care are met. The probable Mayor and Mayoress of the local community, dressed in their regal attire, look on with admiration and appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the nurses.
