The polo season at Biarritz starts in August, the summer season continuing to between the middle of September and, at the lastest, the middle of October. Blampied (1886-1966) drew countless illustrations for the ILN magazines. As well as scenes of typical London life for The Illustrated London News, he produced a number of colour pictures for The Bystander featuring the glamorous and privileged classes at fashionable resorts around the world
