Once upon a time in the roaring twenties, nestled within the quaint streets of a bustling neighborhood, lived a weary homeowner named Tom. Tom was a kind and hardworking man, but alas, a series of unexpected expenses had left him in a precarious financial predicament. With bills piling up and debt collectors knocking at his door, Tom found himself in a desperate situation. In an attempt to evade his creditors, Tom devised a clever plan to hide within the walls of his own home. He would wait in the attic, listening intently for the familiar knock on the front door. Each time a collector arrived, Tom would scurry into the shadows, his heart pounding in his chest. The nursery verse that Tom repeated to himself during these anxious moments went as follows: "Hide and seek, hide and sneak, Away from bills, I'll not be cheap, When they knock, I'll hide and peep, Until my debts, they shall reap." Despite his best efforts, Tom knew that he couldn't hide forever. The mounting debt would eventually catch up with him.
