Edinburgh anchored off King Edwards Point (KEP) which gave members of the ships company the oppertunity to go ashore and visit the whaling station at Grytviken, also to see the wide variety of wildlife including penguins and seal s.
HMS Edinburgh is currently deployed to conduct maritime security patrols around the British South Atlantic Islands, including the Falklands and South Georgia
