In this intricately detailed hand-colored copperplate engraving by Giulio Ferrario, we witness a profound moment in the daily lives of the Four Great Imams of Islam: Abu Hanifa (1) from Kufa, Al-Shafi'i (2) from Egypt, Malik ibn Anas (3) from Medina, and Ibn Hanbal (4) from Baghdad.
