The scene unfolds on a misty, moonlit night, as the couple makes their daring escape from the confines of societal expectations and the disapproval of Egan's theatrical career. Charles J.M. Egan, a celebrated actor of the Victorian era, had captured the hearts of many with his exceptional talent and charisma on the stage. However, his personal life was far from perfect.
