The portrait showcases a bearded man with an intense gaze, revealing the depth of his intellect and creativity. Leonardo da Vinci's contributions to various fields are truly remarkable. As an artist, he created only 17 surviving paintings, including iconic masterpieces like the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper. His scientific drawings featured groundbreaking ideas such as a spinning wheel and a flying machine, showcasing his visionary mind. Beyond his artistic pursuits, da Vinci's insatiable curiosity led him to dissect human bodies for accurate anatomical drawings. He also delved into studying light and water properties while working as an inspector of fortifications in Milan and later as a military engineer in Florence. The print is from "Gestalten Der Weltgeschichte" a book featuring cigarette-card portrait miniatures of historical figures spanning four centuries.
