Known for his groundbreaking achievements in engineering, Wolfe-Barry is most famously recognized for his design and construction of the iconic Tower Bridge over the River Thames in London. Constructed between 1886 and 1894, the bridge is an architectural marvel that continues to captivate visitors to this day. Its distinctive bascule design, which allows the bridge to open to allow the passage of tall ships, was a revolutionary concept at the time.
