The Union Castle Line's flagship was a symbol of luxury and elegance, transporting passengers between Europe and South Africa with unparalleled comfort and style. The Arundel Castle, launched in 1924, was the largest and most advanced liner in the Union-Castle fleet at the time. Measuring 612 feet in length and with a tonnage of 16,564 gross register tons, she could accommodate over 1,000 passengers.
