Wilton Crescent, London

A fine photographic postcard view of Wilton Crescent in London. Number 2, Wilton Crescent SW, belonged to the Chetwode Family. Lady Chetwode (the owner of the house) was married to Field Marshall Philip Walhouse Chetwode, 1st Baron Chetwode, 7th Baronet of Oakley, GCB OM GCSI KCMG DSO. (1869 - 1950) and their daughter married John Betjeman, later to become Poet Laureate.
