Once upon a time in the magical land of Oz, a breathtaking scene unfolded that defied the ordinary. Thousands of tiny, determined field-mice worked together, pulling with all their might to save their friend, the Cowardly Lion, from the deadly poppy field. The Lion, known for his cowardice but also for his loyalty, had fallen asleep under the enchanting yet dangerous poppies, putting himself in grave danger. The mice were not alone in their mission. They were aided by their trusted friends, the Scarecrow and the Tin Woodman. The Scarecrow, the wise and compassionate ruler of the Emerald City, used his intelligence and knowledge to devise a plan to save the Lion. The Tin Woodman, the brave and loyal companion, provided the strength and determination to carry out the plan. This historical photograph, taken in the early 1900s, captures the essence of L. Frank Baum's beloved characters from "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz." Baum, an American author and illustrator, published the first book in the series in 1900, and it has since become a classic in children's literature.
