Yuri Prokhorov (born 1929). Portrait of the Soviet-Russian mathematician Yuri Vasilevich Prokhorov. Prokhorov works in the field of probability theory. He became a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 1966, a full member in 1972, and was a vice-president of the IMU (International Mathematical Union).
